Wipro Water Multigrade Sand Filters are offer excellent filtration quality. Fine quality quartz sand is used as filtration medium that ensure the high trated water qualities.

The filter can remove most of particulate suspended solids matter available from source of borewell & municipal water supply to produce treated water quality of suspended solids 2 – 5 mg/l and offers excellent turbidity reduction.

Features & Advantages

• Vessels are made of fibre reinforced plastic (FRP) that avoids internal corrosion of the vessel & hence longer life than rubber lined Iron vessel. These FRP vessel & hence longer life than rubber lined Iron vessel. These FRP vessel is designed to work at pressure of 5.0 kg/cm2 much above the working pressure
• The graded sand allows for lower pressure drop and high rage of filtration with high drift holding capacity
• Corrosion is avoid through use of advance plastic material like UPVC which will allow open air installation thus saving on cost of shed
• Its light weight allows it to be installed even on roof top & does not require any heavy foundation.

Special Selection Notes

• The filter, piping & valve have been designed to provide higher flow rate required for proper backwash. Please always ensure availability of water at desired flowrate through raw water pump
• The unit shall be backwashed once in a day or whenever pressure drop across the filter bed exceeds 1.0 kg/cm2
• If metal removal (suspended Fe) is also anticipated, use proper coagulant in upstream and restrict the maximum flow to 60% of the value given above
• The unit operation pressure shall be 3.5 kg/cm2 (max)
